Mara Trails Camp is located inside the Masai Mara National Reserve. Other tourists who come to the reserve for safari are only permitted inside between sunrise and sunset. Guests that stay in our tented safari camp enjoy the excitement of starting their safari before other tourists have even entered the gates, or lingering after other tourists are required to leave. This increases the likelihood of seeing certain species like leopards who prefer hunting at those hours.
Staying within the Masai Mara National Reserve requires some safety precautions. During the day, you’ll be safe in the hands of our drivers and guides leading the safaris. During the night, our tented safari camp is protected by Maasai askari standing guard to prevent wild animals from entering the camp. They are also available to safely escort you to and from your tent as needed.
Mara Trails Camp is all inclusive. Your stay includes delicious global cuisine served in our dining tent, as well as hearty picnics and packed meals for guests heading out on game drives. Mara Trails Camp is powered by solar panels, with a generator for backup power during cloudy periods. Our tented safari camp has energy efficient lightbulbs and charging stations with international-style outlets for cameras and phones. All guests are provided with flashlights with fresh batteries for their convenience. WiFi is available in the main lounge with additional charging stations available for guest use.
