Our Team




Hermis Haridas

An internationally acclaimed autodidact nature photographer, who shoots with his heart to capture natural moments hitherto uncaptured. He has led multiple photo trips to many exotic wildlife locations and has extensive experience in organizing travel and teaching photography. For the last seven years, he has been mentoring students, wildlife enthusiasts, and amateur photographers on photography and nature conservation. Experience in leading various awareness-building and conservation projects in Dubai and East Africa.


Nisha Purushothaman

She is one of the first few leading award-winning women photographers from India. An avid conservation photographer, with experience in teaching photography skills to both the young and the professional. She is firmly committed to increasing awareness about the planet. She has been part of numerous awareness-building talks, seminars, panelists, and judges for many international photography events. Her works have been recognized by international media including United Nations, National Geographic, and BBC.


John Temut

Born and brought up in the Maasai land, John can be described as a naturalist by birth. For the past 15 years, he has been guiding photographers and is well known for his exceptional skills in obtaining the best photographic angle for his guests. John has been instrumental in setting up and managing safari camps inside Maasai Mara for many years.


Dr. Peter Hudson

An ecologist & conservationist with more than 40 years of experience in Africa. He is best known for his innovative work on the ecology of wildlife diseases. He is the Willaman Professor of Biology at Penn State University and a Professor at the Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science. Peter will provide the science and conservation insight with talks & courses on Savanah ecology.


OUR PROMISE


Our core vision is to support the people of Maasai Mara. We are happy to dedicate 50% of the Mara Trails Camp profit for this purpose. By this we are committed to provide employment and educational support to the Maasai community. And work towards empowering women in Maasai Mara. We are also engaged in various community activities like water supply for the villages around Maasai Mara, food and fuel supplies for the rangers and women hygiene support etc.
