Morning & Evening Game Drive
See the Masai Mara at its most enchanting with our morning and evening game drives. Begin the day at dawn, setting out in the morning to witness the awakening wilderness. With our seasoned guide driving, you’ll spot the resident wildlife as they’re most active. Return to camp for a delicious lunch and a well-deserved rest, before embarking on another Masai Mara safari at 3:30 pm.
As the day wanes, set off once more into the heart of the Mara to enjoy the magic of the golden hour. With each drive offering moments of wonder, this adventure guarantees an experience you’ll cherish.
- Morning game drive runs from 6:30 am – 11:00 am
- Return to camp for lunch and a brief rest period
- Evening game drive runs from 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm
- Return to camp for a chef-prepared meal in the dining tent
CULTURAL EXCHANGE
Maasai Village Visit
The Maasai culture is one of the best-known traditional cultures in Africa. Consider an excursion to an authentic Maasai village, known as a manyatta. Accompanied by our guide, guests will be driven to the village to meet a welcoming Maasai host.
Explore the village as the host provides insights into Maasai customs. Witness traditional dancing and chanting by the women and warriors. Support the community by purchasing handmade Maasai handicrafts. You will leave with a newfound appreciation for Kenya’s vibrant cultural tapestry.

- Each village visit takes approximately 1 – 2 hours

MASAI MARA SAFARI AT DAWN
Hot Air Balloon Safari
Experience a Masai Mara safari while soaring above the savanna. A hot air balloon safari ride provides a truly unforgettable adventure! Starting at dawn, marvel as the vastness of the Mara awakens beneath you. View vast herds of antelope or majestic elephants from a new perspective. Drift silently over the panorama of iconic landscapes. After landing, you’ll be treated to a champagne breakfast, allowing you to savour your aerial adventure to the fullest. Please note this activity is weather dependent as the balloons require clear skies and mild winds for a safe launch.

Guests at Mara Trails Camp enjoy a unique privilege. Other tourists must bid farewell to the reserve at closing time. Because we are located within the Masai Mara National Reserve, our guests are not required to leave. Instead, they have the exclusive opportunity to remain within the reserve. This allows for uninterrupted immersion in the wonders of the African wilderness. Enjoy more time to savour the sights and sounds of the savanna. Indulge in evening game drives under the stars.
